Public Figure

Hilary Williams

Overview

Her grandfather, Hank Williams, Sr., laid the very foundation for country songwriting, and her father, Hank Williams, Jr., defined country superstardom throughout the ’80s. Through it all, they forged their own creative paths and now, Hilary carries on that family legacy.

In March 2006, Hilary Williams and her sister Holly Williams were driving from Nashville to Louisiana for their maternal grandfather’s funeral. Hilary, who was driving, briefly looked at her iPod, causing the car to veer off Highway 61 in Mississippi. Attempting to correct the mistake, she overcorrected, leading the car to spin 360 degrees in the road, flip four times, and land in a field.
